Unadilla Trials Cancelled!
The Unadilla Trials, scheduled for June 14th has been cancelled due to a serious medical condition in the family of the trials masters(Rob and Debbie Poole) that came to light over the weekend.
AHRMA regrets this cancellation and will issue refunds to any individual who pre-entered for the Unadilla Trials.
If you have any questions on this – please contact David Lamberth at dwlamberth@comcast.net.
Fellow AHRMA Road Racer Mike Proffitt was involved in a single bike crash on Sunday June 9, 2013 at the AHRMA Road Racing event at Road America and was later pronounced dead by the coroner. We do not have any additional info regarding arrangements. Mike has been a friend to many of us in AHRMA Road Racing and will be sorely missed.
Long time AHRMA member, Bob Adams passed away on Thursday, May the 30th.
AHRMA does not have details for the visitation or the funeral at this time.
When the family provides this to us – we will publish it on the website.
Bob can best be summed as a person who “always had a smile on his
face”. Please keep Bob’s family in your thoughts and prayers at this
very difficult time.
A tribute to Dr. Adams, followed by a celebration of his life, will be held at the EKU Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the William H. Knapp Memorial Scholarship Fund for psychology majors through University Development, Coates CPO 19, Eastern Kentucky University, 521 Lancaster Ave.,
Richmond, Ky., 40475.

At Grattan, AHRMA would like to have Art Farley lead a couple parade laps with all the Hand Shifters at the track, so come on out and help us with this tribute to Al Knapp.
The awards committee retired the Britsh only 500 Sportsman award this past year.
Andrew Cowell was thinking about re-starting that award as it was retired to him and
as Andrew and Al had many racing memories, he would like to offer up the Al
Knapp 500 Sportsman award. Art Farley (whom Al gave his competition
number 26 to) will provide some art/award/mechanical piece.
AHRMA will announce more details of the upcoming tribute for Al at Grattan (his home track)
