Press Release: for immediate release
On August 29 – 31, eMotoRacing will hold its 8th race of the 2014 season at Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele, Utah. We have had a great stirring of rumors as to who will be in attendance. One thing is certain — there will be a good mix of contestants, including the official Brammo racing team, and Team “ZEUS” of the University of Calgary. “ZEUS” stands for “Zero Emission Ucalgary Superbike”, and the team is comprised of engineers, business and physics majors. The team will be racing their Generation I bike, which uses an Agni 95-R motor mounted to the frame of a 2004 Suzuki GSX 600, which was straight from the factory, and then stripped of its gasoline engine components. We are excited to see this eBike in action! To check out more about Team ZEUS, hit their website or Facebook page.
The preliminary Board decisions regarding 2015 rules proposals were published in the August issue of Vintage Views. Those decisions are not yet final, and members are welcome to provide their feedback. All input should be sent to the National office no later than October 3. All 2015 rules will be finalized at the October 13 Board meeting, held at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Alabama; members are invited to attend.
Important reminder about the October 9-12 Barber Vintage Festival in Alabama: All AHRMA competitors, family and crew must purchase all pit passes (both roadrace and off-road) on-site from the AHRMA credential area. This will be in Lot C on Wednesday, and in the credential building located near the main Park entrance, Thursday through Sunday. Do not purchase tickets in advance from Barber Motorsports Park.
The VMC Racing Frames National Dirt Track Series event scheduled for October 25 at Alabama’s Monster Mountain MX Park has been cancelled. The facility has closed.
The members of Ton Up North Carolina have agreed to donate the proceeds of the 10th Annual Bull City Rumble Vintage Bike show to AHRMA again and need your help.
They need volunteers to staff the AHRMA raffle booth and talk to guests about AHRMA and vintage racing. Please bring yourself and your race/competition/vintage bike to the Rumble on Saturday, August 30, to Durham, NC and join in the fun for a good cause.
